About the Bootcamp

This 5-day bootcamp is part of a national effort to empower youth with Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, and Digital Literacy skills. It is led by Junior Achievement South Africa, in collaboration with the Clap and Tap Federation and its affiliated partners.

Three teams will be selected from each bootcamp to qualify for seed funding and entry into a structured mentorship programme. Through this initiative, we aim to uplift communities—changing lives, one person at a time.


Bootcamp Hosting Window

  • Training Dates: 28 July – 30 August 2025
  • NOTE: Training must be scheduled within this date range.

Hosting Criteria

To be eligible to host, applicants must meet all the following:

  1. Be a:
    • Registered member of the Clap and Tap Federation, OR
    • Member of an entity trading under the Clap and Tap community, OR
    • Recognised partner (association, council, business, or individual).
  2. Have secured a venue suitable for 90+ participants and staff, with appropriate seating and facilities.
  3. Commit to sourcing a minimum of 90 eligible youth participants (aged 18–35).
  4. Appoint an Administrator/Coordinator to assist facilitators during the bootcamp.
  5. Ensure participants are committed to attending all 5 days of the programme.

Participant Eligibility Criteria

Participants must:

  • Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID
  • Be between the ages of 18–35 years
  • Have at least a Grade 10 qualification
  • Be able to communicate in English
  • Commit to attending the entire duration of the bootcamp

Financial Support Provided

  1. Catering:
    • Lunch will be provided for all participants.
    • The budget is R35 per person, per day, for 5 days.
    • Payments will be made directly to the caterer via a valid invoice and signed contract.
  2. Administration Fee:
    • A fixed fee of R1 850 will be paid to the hosting partner after the bootcamp, for administrative support.

Important Conditions (Non-Negotiable)

  • Do not advertise this opportunity until your application is approved.
  • Do not design or distribute any marketing material or posters. All materials will be supplied by the organizers in line with official PR policies.
  • Do not charge participants—this is a free programme.
  • 📸 No recording or photography is permitted without written permission from the official facilitator. Unauthorized recording may result in expulsion or device confiscation.
