About the Bootcamp

This 5-day bootcamp is part of a national effort to empower youth with Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, and Digital Literacy skills. It is led by Junior Achievement South Africa, in collaboration with the Clap and Tap Federation and its affiliated partners.

Three teams will be selected from each bootcamp to qualify for seed funding and entry into a structured mentorship programme. Through this initiative, we aim to uplift communities—changing lives, one person at a time.

Bootcamp Hosting Window

Training Dates: 28 July – 30 August 2025
NOTE: Training must be scheduled within this date range.

Hosting Criteria

To be eligible to host, applicants must meet all the following:

Be a:
- Registered member of the Clap and Tap Federation, OR
- Member of an entity trading under the Clap and Tap community, OR
- Recognised partner (association, council, business, or individual).
Have secured a venue suitable for 90+ participants and staff, with appropriate seating and facilities.
Commit to sourcing a minimum of 90 eligible youth participants (aged 18–35).
Appoint an Administrator/Coordinator to assist facilitators during the bootcamp.
Ensure participants are committed to attending all 5 days of the programme.

Participant Eligibility Criteria

Participants must:

Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID
Be between the ages of 18–35 years
Have at least a Grade 10 qualification
Be able to communicate in English
Commit to attending the entire duration of the bootcamp

Financial Support Provided

Catering:
- Lunch will be provided for all participants.
- The budget is R35 per person, per day, for 5 days.
- Payments will be made directly to the caterer via a valid invoice and signed contract.
Administration Fee:
- A fixed fee of R1 850 will be paid to the hosting partner after the bootcamp, for administrative support.

❌ Do not design or distribute any marketing material or posters. All materials will be supplied by the organizers in line with official PR policies.
❌ Do not charge participants—this is a free programme.
📸 No recording or photography is permitted without written permission from the official facilitator. Unauthorized recording may result in expulsion or device confiscation.

AGREEMENT AND TERMS & CONDITIONS

By submitting this application to host the 5-Day Entrepreneurship, Financial and Digital Literacy Bootcamp, I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility and Representation

I confirm that I am an authorised representative of the organisation, entity, or community applying to host this bootcamp.
I am a member of the Clap and Tap Federation or an affiliated/approved partner as defined in the call for applications.

2. Participant Commitments

I agree to recruit a minimum of 90 eligible participants who meet all the bootcamp requirements (age, citizenship, education level, and availability).
I understand that participants must attend all five days of training, and I will take reasonable measures to ensure full attendance.

3. Venue Requirements

I confirm that I have secured a venue suitable for training and accommodating at least 90 participants, plus facilitators and staff.
The venue will be safe, accessible, and adequately equipped for learning.

4. Administrator/Coordinator Responsibility

I commit to appointing a reliable administrator or coordinator to assist with facilitation logistics, attendance, daily coordination, and communication.

5. Financial Conditions

I understand that catering support will be provided at R35 per person per day, for lunch only, for 5 days.
I understand that payment for catering will be made directly to the appointed caterer, upon submission of a valid invoice and signed service agreement.
I acknowledge that an administrative support fee of R1 850 will be paid to the host after successful completion of the bootcamp.

6. Prohibited Actions

I agree not to advertise this bootcamp publicly or through any media until my application is approved in writing.
I agree not to create or distribute any promotional posters or marketing materials for the bootcamp. All branding will be provided by the organising body in line with official PR policies.
I agree not to charge any participant for attending this bootcamp. This is a free educational programme.

7. Recording and Media Use

I will not record, livestream, or take photographs/videos of the bootcamp without prior written consent from the lead facilitator or organising body.
I understand that any unauthorised recording may result in immediate expulsion from the hosting programme and confiscation of recording devices.

8. Compliance and Reporting

I commit to maintaining accurate attendance records and supporting the facilitators in implementing the programme effectively.
I agree to comply with any monitoring, reporting, or post-training assessment requirements set by the organisers.

I agree and accept this agreement.

I, the applicant, declare that the information provided in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand and agree to the terms and conditions listed above and undertake to fulfil all host responsibilities if my application is successful.
